Do’s at home
- Minimize the entry of outsiders and pets in your home
- Cover their mouth and nose with a cotton mask if they are going out.
- Never leave them alone with a mask.
- Try to use soap and water instead of sanitizer as sanitizer affects your immunity
- Clean their toys once a week
- Keep and maintain your house hygiene
- Make a habit of drinking a cup of fresh warm water twice a day
- Include soups in your toddler’s everyday diet
Foods that help in building immunity among toddlers-
- Garlic – Use garlic in most of their meals because garlic is antiviral and antibacterial. Eating garlic will not only make their immunity better, their constipation issue will also get resolved.
- Munakka (black dry grapes) – Give 2-3 munakkas with milk to your toddler. This is the best immunity booster for your kids. The plus point of this – toddlers love black dry grapes and they won’t throw any tantrum for eating them.
- Lemongrass– Try to give a warm cup of lemongrass water twice a day to your toddler. Lemongrass has essential nutrients like vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, and folate. It is a powerouse of minerals and provides manganese, calcium and iron.
- Turmeric milk – Turmeric is a magical golden herb that can protect your toddler against many serious illnesses. Try to give a cup of warm turmeric milk to your toddler at night before sleep.
